Love has nothing to do with five senses - Rumi
Love has nothing to do with five senses and six directions:
its goal is only to experience attraction exerted by the Beloved.
Afterwards, perhaps, permission will come from God:
the secrets that ought to be told with be told
with an eloquence nearer to the understanding
that these subtle confusing allusions.
The secret is partner with none
but the knower of the secret:
in the skeptic's ear
the secret is no secret at all.

Sorrowed Soul ~ A true story
The sun has gone to its abode and darkness has scattered far and wide
Twinkling stars has covered the sky as dress of a new bride
It’s another painful night
Another night of my sorrow and plight
Tears are sprouting from eyes
Making wretchedness and dryness in eyes
I know not what I want
Neither have I wanted heaven nor hell
Aaah, there is no heaven for a sorrowed heart
Heaven is a forsaken place for a sorrowed heart
Oh my Lord, I had wished to seek Thine mercy and blessings
Alas, I am yet able to get neither
Thee put me in love and joy
Thee put me in harmony, tranquility and matched a beloved!
Thee departed the to be parted one…
Oh Lord, what Thee made of an unpurified body and soul
Alas, I am loathed and dreadful and yet wretched soul
Alas, such a soul is preordained to be scorned!
Aah, such a soul is predestined to be left alone!
Oh Lord, all told, Thee mercy pounces even a tiny tear of a nonbeliever turned believer
Oh Lord, a soul is weary; though teary drenched yet still questing Thine benevolence
Oh Lord, a soul is tired; why don’t Thee make a wretched pure!
Oh Lord, a soul is not atheist or nonbeliever…….
Oh Lord, compassionately cease the sorrow and plight….

You alone exist; I do not, O Beloved! ~ ~ Baba Bhulley Shah
- - - -
You alone exist; I do not, O Beloved!
You alone exist, I do not!
Like the shadow of a house in ruins,
I revolve in my own mind.
If I speak, you speak with me:
If I am silent, you are in my mind.
If I sleep, you sleep with me:
If I walk, you are along my path.
Oh Bulleh, the spouse has come to my house:
My life is a sacrifice unto Him.
You alone exist; I do not, O Beloved!

Repeating the name of Beloved ~ ~ Bhulay Shah
- - -
Repeating the name of the Beloved
I have become the Beloved myself.
Whom shall I call the Beloved now?

O breeze! turn towards Medina ~ ~ Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya

O breeze! turn towards Medina (and) from this well-wisher recite the Salaam.
Turn round the king of the prophets (and) with the utmost humility recite the Salaam.
Sometimes pass the gate of mercy (and) with the gate of Gabriel rule the forehead.
Salaam to the prophet of God (and) sometimes recite Salaam at the gate of peace.
Put with all respect the head of faith on the dust there.
Be one with the sweet melody of David and be acquainted with the cry of anguish.
In the assembly of the prophets recite verses from the humble being 'Nizam'.

When I Die ~ Rumi
"When I die
when my coffinis being taken out
you must never think
i am missing this world.
don't shed any tears
don't lament or feel sorry
i'm not falling in to a monster's abyss
when you see
my corpse is being carried
don't cry for my leaving
i'm not leaving
i'm arriving at eternal love
when you leave me in the grave
don't say goodbye
remember a grave is only a curtain
for the paradise behind you'll only see me
descending into a grave now watch me rise
how can there be an end
when the sun sets or
the moon goes down
it looks like the end
it seems like a sunset
but in reality it is a dawn
when the grave locks you up
that is when your soul is freed
have you ever seen a seed fallen to earth
not rise with a new life
why should you doubt the rise
of a seed named human
have you ever seen a bucket lowered into a well
coming back empty
why lament for a soul
when it can come back
like Joseph from the well
when for the last time
you close your mouth
your words and soul will belong to the world of
no place no time~
RUMI, ghazal number 911.translated May 18, 1992, by Nader Khalili."

I knew God well when love flashed before me... Sultan Bahu
- - - - - -
I knew God well when love flashed before me.It gives me strength by night and day, and shows what lies ahead.
In me are flames, in me is fuel, in me is smoke.
I only found my Beloved, Bahu, when love made me aware.

Bulleha least I know who am I ?
Bulleha least I know who am I ?
Neither am I a believer in mosque
Neither have I trodden the infidel's path
Neither am I pious in sinful
Nor I Mosses in Pharaohs
Bulleha least I know who am I?
Nothing I have to do with piety or putresence
Nor am I in pleasure or grief
Neither am I of water nor of earth
Neither am I of fire nor of air
Bulleha least I know who am I?
Neither I found the secret of religion
Nor was I born of Adam or Eve
Neither am I of those who squat
Nor I have to do with dwelling
Bulleha least I know who am I?
From the beginning to the end
I know nothing but me
Nobody else I recognize and found
Nobody else more sage than thee
Bulleha who Spouse is around
Bulleha least I know who am I.

It was the night of Lailatul-Qadr
'Twas the night of Lailatul-Qadr
And all through the frat
Not a creature was stirring
Not even a rat.
The guys were all sleeping
All snug on the floor,
Till one of them woke
From a loud raucous snore.
It came from outside,
Not a snore but a clatter,
So Bilal rushed to the window
To see what was the matter.
The thought of a burglar
Was his reason to hurry,
But Alhamdoolilah,
'it was old Ramadan Ali!
His charm and charisma
Could surely outdo most,
His belly shook when he laughed
Like a plate full of hummos.
His aura was commanding
Yet jovial and funny,
Like a mixture of falafel
And chicken biryani.
His angels hung their blessings
Over the chimney with care,
In hopes that we thank
Allah later through prayer.
When Ramadan Ali was done,
He hurried away,
And Bilal swore that he glimpsed
A camel-drawn sleigh.
"Bismillah-Hirrahmaan-Nirraheem!
On Faisal! On Amina! On Abdul-Kareem!
On Aisha! On Sonia! On Hussain and Imran!
On Adil! On Omar! On Rudolph Ali Khan!"
(he converted)
And through the most holy night,
Bilal waved the spirit goodbye,
And the crescent-shaped moon
Caught the noor from his eye.
And as he went back to sleep,
The faint voice didn't wake 'im:
"A peaceful Ramadan to all! As-salaam-alaikum!"
